Karan Johar returns to directing a film after seven years.

It's been almost 25 years since Karan Johar's directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, hit the big screen. Yes, this year, the filmmaker completes 25 years as a director, and on May 25, he is celebrating his 51st birthday. On the occasion of the same, Karan is all set to unveil the first look of his upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
The ace filmmaker took to his social media pages and shared a video summing up the love stories he made in movies for 25 years. In the voiceover, Karan stated, "Love comes with its conflicts and challenges, but it's the most beautiful feeling in the world. As I look back on my journey of 25 years as a filmmaker, I'm filled with immense gratitude. What began as a small attempt to share stories of love, friendship, and family that resonated within me, but as each one of you embraces the stories and characters, love finds a new meaning to be everyday."
Talking about Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, KJo further said, "As I complete 25 years in the industry, this love of yours has given wings to a new story. A new Prem Kahani, a story that celebrates love like never before in all its beauty and grandeur, a film I've been waiting to share with you for so long, is finally ready. See you at the movies, where we celebrate family, love, and so much more."
Karan captioned the video, "Nothing but gratitude for the magical 25 years I have spent in the director’s chair. I learned, I grew, I wept, I laughed, and I lived.
