In a recent press conference for the success of the film, Karan Johar revealed Alia Bhatt's wedding scene in the movie was filmed four days after her actual wedding. He also revealed that Alia's mehendi from the movie was indeed the mehendi she had during her wedding. But Alia Bhatt was the one who shared a fascinating story on her wedding day.

She said that there was one more connection between her reel-life and real-life marriage to Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. It exactly happened to Alia during her shaadi with Ranbir, as she recalled when Ranveer Singh knelt down in the movie.
She said: “The moment which you see in the song jab ranveer niche jata hai put his head like that and lets me put the varmala on him woh actually mere sath hua tha. Joh pehle ranveer ko uthaya tha mai dekh rahi hu ki mujhe koi nahi utha raha. Then he went down on his knees and then I put the Varmala on him. That was twice, kaafi close hogaya sab kuch."
