Rohan Sippy confirms Criminal Justice Season 5: 'It's the ultimate stamp of success to do another season' | Exclusive

Pankaj Tripathi-starrer Criminal Justice is one of the most-watched series in India. The series has season 4 in total as of now, and each season deals with a different case. Criminal Justice Season 4 was recently released on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium, and like every time, it has become one of the most-watched series. During an exclusive chat with OTTplay, filmmaker Rohan Sippy revealed whether we can expect Criminal Justice Season 5 soon or not.

While talking to OTTplay, Rohan Sippy reacted to the possibility of Criminal Justice Season 5. Even though there is no official news, the filmmaker is confident about having a new season for Criminal Justice. 

He shared, "I think that's the ultimate vindication of the show if we get another season. I am really hoping for it. I don't have any official news on it, but that is obviously the ultimate stamp of success that we are going to do another season. That means the platform is happy, the studio is happy, and the actors are happy to continue."

He also said, "I think it's uniquely placed to continue because each season you have a fresh case, and we were able to bring wonderful people like Surveen Chawla, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in season 4, we have Swastika Mukerjee, Purab Kohli in season 3, season 2 had Kirti Kulhari, Jisshu Sengupta. Not just the actors but the world. You have these different worlds that open up, so the audience gets a great balance. It makes a good way formula in a sense to continue and keep without getting stale."

Rohan Sippy on Criminal Justice getting a theatrical version

Speaking to us, the filmmaker Rohan Sippy was asked whether his Criminal Justice can get a theatrical version in the future. He said that it is not ruled out at all and it is a very smart way to go if you find the right story for a theatrical version. 

"I think it's a very smart way to go that we prove that there is an audience out there for this. I think there is definitely an opportunity to do it and we see films like Jolly LLB and all have had success where you similarly get a very interesting lawyer character. So I would love to explore that if there's all the cards."
