On Friday, the release date for Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Phone Bhoot was announced, which is July 15, 2022. Now, as per reports, even Rohit Shetty's upcoming directorial Cirkus is set to hit the big screens on the same date. Yes, Ranveer Singh's starrer will be clashing with Katrina's upcoming film, and the choices are interesting for the fans.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Xclusiv... 'CIRKUS' TO ARRIVE ON JULY 15, 2022... #Cirkus director #RohitShetty and #RanveerSingh's third collaboration, after #Simmba and #Sooryavanshi will arrive in *cinemas* on July 15, 2022. #JacquelineFernandez, #PoojaHegde, and #VarunSharma."

Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Johny Lever, and Sanjay Mishra appear in the film, which is said to be an adaption of Shakespeare's comedy The Comedy of Errors.

Shetty, who will direct and produce Cirkus, has teamed up with Bhushan Kumar for the first time on the film, which will see Ranveer Singh play two roles for the first time.

The Cirkus shoot kickstarted during the coronavirus pandemic, and talking about the same, Shetty had earlier said in an interview that they had been waiting over a year for Sooryavanshi to be released in theatres. Because it was not easy to keep a large movie from being released because there was a lot of money at stake, the filmmaker shared that he could have supported himself for an extended period, but his team was also vital to me. Shetty added that when he looked at them, he realised that they relied on him for their livelihood.

Thus, the director created Cirkus specifically for them. He called it an investment, not a recovery. Shetty shared that he is not getting paid for it, but he is pleased that his team has completed six months of work.

The filmmaker is currently riding high on the success of his latest outing, Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar in the titular role.
