Ronny teaser: 'Kannadati' Kiran Raj looks revamped & ready in this mega actioner

Actor Kiran Raj is all set to revamp his image for the big screen and seems to have given his all for his next film Ronny in this very pursuit. The first teaser of the film was released earlier today, July 5, to mark his birthday and the visuals do suggest very strongly that he is raring to make a transition from TV to film. 

Written and directed by Gurutej Shetty, Ronny is an out-and-out action entertainer that has Kiran Raj playing a ruthless gangster who, say as the tagline suggests, is here to rule the underworld. Going with the current trend, the film offers a plenitude of over-the-top action, massy dialogues and slow-motion shots in an appropriately larger-than-life world. To fit into the titular role, Kiran Raj has undergone a physical transformation and evidently shed the image that he carried on the small screen.

Having become a household name through his leading roles in serials such as Kannadati, Kinnari, Chandramukhi and others, Kiran Raj looked to leverage that fame in movies but is yet to make a strong impression. His previous films like Buddies and Jeevnane Natka Samy have failed to make any impact at the box office so one would expect him to pin a lot of hopes on the upcoming Ronny.

And the actor is leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film. A couple of months ago, Kiran Raj reached Dubai to attempt a special feat wherein he plunged, quite literally, from an altitude of 13,000 ft to reveal the title 'Ronny'. The promotional stunt also included a team of skydivers who helped him get the best results.

Ronny is produced by Chandrakanth Poojary and Umesh Hegde under Star Creations banner. The cast of the film includes Ravishankar, B Suresh, Ugramm Manju, Ugramm Ravi, Yash Shetty, Dharmanna, Surya Kundapur, Kari Subbu, Mico Nagraj and others. Manikanth Kadri scores the music.
