The 2025 Malayalam film Ronth, which released in theatres on June 13, started streaming on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium on July 22. Apart from Malayalam, the film is also available to stream in multiple languages, including Hindi and all other south Indian languages, along with English subtitles.

Ronth is directed and written by noted filmmaker-scriptwriter Shahi Kabir, who has penned some of the most realistic and gripping cop thriller films in Malayalam, such as the recent hit Officer on Duty, starring Kunchacko Boban. Through Ronth, Kabir, who was a former policeman, takes a realistic look into the lives of two cops as they go on a routine night patrolling duty. The dynamics between the senior officer and the rookie cop, their everyday challenges, and more are authentically portrayed in the film.
