Ronth star Roshan Mathew gets busy wrestling with Chatha Pacha after Shahi Kabir’s cop drama
Even as his latest Malayalam film hits theatres, Roshan Mathew has dived into his next project Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies, which also stars Arjun Ashokan.

Roshan Mathew’s latest Malayalam film Ronth, co-starring Dileesh Pothan, has been released in theatres, and is winning mostly positive reviews. But the Kankhajura actor has already dived into his next Malayalam project, Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies. The action-packed film, which also stars Arjun Ashokan, went on floors recently, and Roshan has shared his excitement of being part of the WWE-inspired Malayalam film.

Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is an upcoming Malayalam film, helmed by debutant Adhvaith Nayar. The action-packed film, said to be a WWE-inspired movie, started rolling on Tuesday. Apart from Roshan Mathew and Arjun Ashokan, the film also features Marco actor Ishan Shoukath and Vishak Nair, who impressed in Officer on Duty.
Roshan, who has been making a name for himself even in the Hindi industry, is excited to star in the action-packed Chatha Pacha. "I’ve never done anything like this before,” the actor stated. Set in Fort Kochi, the film will reportedly focuses on a wrestling club in the area. Commenting about the film’s subject, Roshan said, “The world of wrestling entertainment is as intense emotionally as it is physically. I’m thrilled to dive into this space with Chatha Pacha."
Director Adhvaith Nayar has also penned the film, with Sanoop Thykoodam contributing the screenplay and dialogues. The technical team comprises Anend C Chandran of Premam fame as cinematographer and Kalai Kingson, known for the brutally violent Marco, as stunt director.
The film was also in the news, as it marks the Malayalam debut of the celebrated musicians Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. The makers plan to release the film this year itself.
Ronth release and reception
Meanwhile, Roshan Mathew’s Ronth, helmed by Shahi Kabir, released in theatres on June 13, 2025, and has been getting positive feedback. Roshan stars as CPO Dinnathan, who joins officer Yohannan on night patrolling. Dileesh Pothan appears in the other lead role in the film, which narrates yet another complex tale revolving around police personnel.
