Rooqma Ray opens up about her works

Rooqma Ray started her career with modeling. Then she made her debut on television with the serial Kiranmala. She then acted in several serials like Desher Mati, Lalkuthi, etc, and in the web series Nostoneer. Now she is working on the serial Rupsagore Moner Manush.

Recently, in an interview with Anandabazar, Rooqma talked about many things. Why is she working in Rupsagore instead of the A-lister projects? Rooqma said that when she got the offer she was busy with other work and hence said no. She was offered again after one year and then did not reject. 

Rooqma said that this serial’s story is different from the others. Her character's name is Annapurna Banerjee, she aspires to be an IPS officer.

Rooqma said that she also played negative roles and didn't want to act in only typecast roles. Regarding social media trolling, she said that she is a positive person and handles these things with positivity. 

Rooqma loves traveling. She was not in Kolkata during Puja. She offered puja to Puri Temple and then went for a trip to Vizag. However, she loves the mountains the most. 

Rooqma also said that she plans to spend Diwali with her girls' squad which includes Gitasri Roy, Sreetama Roychoudhury, etc. However, she opposes firecrackers since she is concerned about environmental pollution.
