What are college dramas without dollops of nostalgia? Ye Zindagi, the latest song from the Sankranthi release, Rowdy Boys, is just the warm tonic that'll transport you back to your college years and the memorable friendships it forges. Krishna Kanth has penned the lyrics of the catchy number that elaborates on the beauty of friendship with a liberal dose of English and Hindi words thrown into the mix.

The latest singing sensation, Ram Miriyala, does a terrific job in bringing the emotion and the spirit of the number alive. The song starts off with the lines 'Ye zindagi oh university..Ee dosthi ee dosthi..Ledantey cheekati..Varsham varthe rainbow..Ende vasthe snow..Masthi dosthi combo..Ee friend u raa' that compares friends to various aspects of nature.

The striking visuals contribute to the impact of the song, where friends bond over canteen chats, parties, movies and in classrooms. An underplayed romance between the leads, Ashish and Anupama Parameswaran, also warrants your interest in the number. The innoncence, charming on-screen camaraderie, good screen presence of the actors leave behind a solid impact. Composer Devi Sri Prasad's experience with peppy college tracks pays off big time here.

Besides Ye Zindagi, four songs from Rowdy Boys are out till now, including the title track, a romance number Preme Aakasamaithe, a couple of college dance tracks Brindavanam and Date Night. A couple of other tracks are also set to be launched today. On the whole, there are 9 songs in the album, the composer had told earlier in the day. Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish and directed by Sree Harsha Konuganti, Rowdy Boys hits theatres on January 14.
