RRR: Advance bookings for Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s film slows down?

RRR is finally making its way onto the big screen tomorrow and fans are flocking to get their hands on tickets to see SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus on screen. There have been reports that tickets in several cities are on the brink of being sold out, if they haven’t already. Also gaining headlines is the whopping prices the tickets are going for, with the rates going for even above Rs 2,000 in some places. But it seems that the advance bookings for the film’s Hindi version is not picking up as much pace as the makers had expected.

According to a report by Box Office India, the advance bookings for the Hindi version have witnessed a slack in pace over the past two days. The report also stated how the number of the same had come down from Rs 30 crore in the past week to about Rs 18 crore yesterday, according to the figures released by Ormax Media. The report also predicted how the figures hinted that RRR’s Hindi version would have an opening figure on the lines of Ranveer Singh’s 83.

The film however, seems to be putting up a good pre-sales performance in the United States, as multiple reports hint that it has crossed USD 2 million. It is being predicted that RRR might cross Baahubali 2's opening day record in the US, which currently holds the title for the biggest opening day for an Indian film there. The latter too was helmed by Rajamouli.

Ram Charan and Jr NTR star in the upcoming film, which also features Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, among others.

RRR will be released in theatres tomorrow, on March 25, 2022.
