S.S. Rajamouli’s epic period action drama RRR is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The recent update is that the advance booking for the movie, starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt, has started in the state of Gujarat. The shows will begin as early as 8 am in the state.
Vamsi Kaka, a media and PR consultant in the Telugu industry confirmed the news through Twitter. “Advance bookings opened in Gujarat. Shows scheduled from 8 am in Hindi (2D & 3D) & Telugu (2D) versions. #RRRMovie #RRRonMarch25th,” he wrote, sharing a photo from the movie.
The pan-Indian movie is releasing across the country in Telugu along with the dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and other Indian and foreign languages on March 25.
RRR will look to be the next big Telugu movie eyeing to mint big money in North Indian states after Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise did well at the box office in North India.
The movie is helmed by Rajamouli, who created the Baahubali movies, which were highly successful in Hindi as well. RRR is bankrolled by DVV Entertainment under a reported budget of a whopping Rs 336 crores.
Apart from Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead, the movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Saran.
RRR will tell a fictional tale of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The Hindi version of the movie’s trailer was a bigsuccess, and has received over 75 million views on YouTube so far.
