Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s RRR has opened to brilliant Box Office numbers and the film sees an upward trend over the weekend. So far, according to a report on KoiMoi, the movie has already minted Rs. 22-24 crores on day 2. This sees an upward trend for RRR from day one, when it minted Rs. 19 crores nett. Unfortunately though, according to a report on Box Office India, the Telugu version of RRR has seen a drop and is struggling at the Box Office.
Since RRR made history on day one though, they do not have too much to worry about if the Telugu version does see little drop in the Box Office numbers. The SS Rajamouli directorial makes up for the loss through its Hindi belt. While Delhi NCR and East Punjab showed a slow start, they have shown interest in watching the film, which is a huge plus point for RRR.
Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s movie is well on its way to beat Sooryavanshi’s day 2 Box Office collections too. The movie minted Rs. 24 crores on Saturday and going by the current trend, RRR could easily cross those numbers and more.
Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files set an example through its second Saturday Box Office collections. The numbers almost doubled up over the weekend. It earned Rs. 25 crores but on its second Saturday and thus, RRR is currently not in competition with the film.
The SS Rajamouli directed film is working well in multiplexes all across India. The rise in Box Office numbers could go up to 25% for the same reason. Not just multiplexes, so far RRR is also working well in single screens. However, the business from that could either see a drop or remain the same as Friday Box Office.
RRR’s Box Office collection run is currently similar to that of Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 Box Office. The movie had a four-day weekend and had minted Rs. 23 crores on Saturday. 2.0, also starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, had fared much better on Sunday which could be the case for RRR as well.
At the time of its release, RRR did not have to struggle because Akshay’s Bachchhan Paandey was not accepted by the audiences, The Kashmir Files ran its victorious course and so did Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Thus, the viewers are not completely divided when it comes to watching a film and picking RRR. The good word-of-mouth for this movie has worked well in its favour and it would not be a surprise if the film breaks more Box Office records over the weekend.
