RRR: Here’s how much the most expensive tickets for Jr NTR-Ram Charan’s film costs in India

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR is gearing up to make its way onto the big screen tomorrow. To call the film one of the most highly anticipated films of the year would be an understatement. Fans are already clamouring to get their hands on tickets in different states, some even willing to pay a hefty sum to see Rajamouli weave his magic on screens yet again.

According to a News18 report, the tickets' cost has gone up to Rs 2,100 at PVR: Delhi Ambience Mall, as shown on the ticketing platform, BookMyShow. This is for the 3D Hindi version of the film.

Ticket prices for the film in Mumbai also reached staggering rates, with a ticket for the 3D version in Telugu costing as much as Rs 1,320, while in Pune, a ticket for the same version can go up to Rs 1,250.

The midnight shows for the movie organised by fan clubs in Telugu states feature ticket prices soaring up to even Rs 3000 and above as well.

But the prices do not seem to deter fans in the country from catching the movie on the big screens. There are in fact reports stating that tickets have already become sold out in several cities across the country. The numbers seem to suggest that the film is on its way to having one of the biggest openings witnessed in recent times.

The upcoming film stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles, with Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran also featuring in pivotal roles. The film is bankrolled by DVV Entertainments.

RRR will be released in theatres on March 25, 2022, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. After its theatrical run, the film will be available for streaming on Netflix and ZEE5, sometime in June.
