RRR has made it to the second week at the Box Office. On its second Friday, the movie saw decent collections which took the SS Rajamouli directorial a step closer to becoming a blockbuster. The movie is now a superhit.
Starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles, RRR’s Hindi version minted Rs. 13.25 crores, according to a report on Box Office India. The movie saw 30% drop from first Friday and 10% hike from Thursday, when RRR’s Box Office was at its lowest.
Currently, RRR has collected a total of Rs. 144.75 crores nett at the Box Office. Unfortunately, the movie still has a long way to collect Rs. 500 crores nett in its Hindi version and might struggle to even make it to Rs. 200 crores.
Here’s the day-wise Box Office collection of RRR:
Day 1 (Friday) – Rs. 19 crores
Day 2 (Saturday) – Rs. 24 crores
Day 3 (Sunday) – Rs. 31.50 crores
Day 4 (Monday) – Rs. 16.75 crores
Day 5 (Tuesday) – Rs. 15.25 crores
Day 6 (Wednesday) – Rs. 13.25 crores
Day 7 (Thursday) – Rs. 11.75 crores
[Week One nett total] – Rs. 131.50 crores
Day 8 (Friday) – Rs. 13.25 crores
Total – Rs. 144.75 crores
Considering the second Friday Box Office collections, RRR might be headed for another good weekend. However, whether the film can create as huge a storm at The Kashmir Files did at the Box Office on second Saturday, is something that remains to be seen.
Rajamouli’s film is expected to work well in areas like Jaipur, Indore, Bareilly and Gwalior over the weekend. However, the screens for this film have reduced considerably given the numerous releases apart from movies that are already performing well like The Kashmir Files. This could pose as a challenge for RRR. So far, the film has the best collections from Gujarat but the future of this film will be clearer once the weekend numbers are out.
