RRR (Hindi) Box Office Collections Day 2: SS Rajamouli's magnum opus witnesses a huge jump on its first Saturday

RRR (Hindi) saw a 25% increase on Saturday, grossing Rs 24 crore nett, which is a very excellent trend for a film in this zone. It's not a great increase, but for such a large film aimed at a broad audience, it's excellent. As per Box Office India, the film's advantage was that single-screen revenue barely dropped, allowing virtually all circuits to earn significant gains on Saturday. Even in places like CPCI Rajasthan and Gujarat, commerce increased.

The Saturday collections are similar to Sooryavanshi's debut on its second day, although the markets were not as healthy at the time as they are now. On the other hand, RRR has a weaker Hindi release in the South due to regional versions, and Sooryavanshi is up about a crore nett from that side. On Saturday, at the conclusion of the week, the final settled numbers could be a few lakhs higher than Sooryavanshi.

The trading website also reported that RRR has the lowest occupancy in Punjab and NCR, but it is still better than Sooryavanshi on Saturday, since the film underperformed in the North, outside of UP, where certain significant screens were still closed, so it was not optimal in UP either. Not only did it outperform in the north, but RRR also outperformed Sooryavanshi in Gujarat, with collections that were almost identical to those of the Rohit Shetty film on Saturday, which is incredible.

The best news for RRR is the increase of mass circuits on Saturday, which should lead to a large Sunday and the highest single-day collections since the pandemic, surpassing what Sooryavanshi and The Kashmir Files achieved. Hopefully, the number will easily surpass Rs 30 crore nett on Sunday, and then it will be put to the ultimate test on Monday. If RRR manages to reach Rs 30 crore nett, it will be the first time since the epidemic that this amount has been surpassed.

The two-day figures are sufficient, and Sunday will be even better, but Monday is crucial because of the costs involved, and it must be sustained because, despite a projected terrific weekend, the costs had to be higher. As a result, it becomes a simple matter of gaining momentum during the weekdays. 

RRR's two-day business is as follows:

Friday - Rs 19 crore

Saturday - Rs 24 crore

TOTAL - Rs 43 crore.
