SS Rajamouli’s RRR has crossed Rs. 100 crore mark at the Box Office on its first Tuesday. The movie more or less continued the same trend on its first Wednesday i.e. on day 6. The movie has once again earned in the range of Rs. 13-15 crores, according to a report on KoiMoi. For the uninitiated, Ram Charan-Jr. NTR’s RRR earned Rs. 15.25 crores on day 5 Tuesday (numbers from Box Office India).
When looking at the big picture, RRR’s Box Office collections not dipping is a huge success for the film. Like we had mentioned previously, the real challenge for RRR would begin from Wednesday when the strike would get over in various parts of the country and people go back to work.
If despite that, the movie has earned in the range of Rs. 15 crores, then RRR has nothing to worry about and is on the smooth track to be declared a blockbuster. However, that depends on whether the film has actually minted Rs. 15 crores. It might be a tough journey ahead if RRR earned only Rs. 13 crore at the Box Office on Wednesday.
Here's the day-wise Box Office collection of RRR:
Friday – Rs. 19 crores
Saturday – Rs. 24 crores
Sunday – Rs. 31.50 crores
Monday – Rs. 16.75 crores
Tuesday – Rs. 15.25 crores
Wednesday (approximately) – Rs. 15 crores
Total (approximately) – Rs. 122 crores
If RRR does manage to mint over Rs. 650 crores gross in its first week, SS Rajamouli will surpass his own movie Baahubali: The Beginning’s lifetime Box Office collection in one week. Going by the current trend, it is not a tough mark to achieve but the movie needs to pick up more pace in order to be declared a blockbuster.
RRR is among the top six films to enter Rs. 100 crore club post-pandemic. The movie, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in cameo roles, is however the fastest to earn Rs. 100 crores (within five days).
