The wait is almost over as SS Rajamouli's much anticipated epic directorial titled RRR is inching closer to its release. With less than 10 hours remaining for the Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer to hit the silver screens in over 3200 theatres across the country, fans are getting impatient to witness Rajamouli working his magic once again after the mammoth success of Bahubali. While the makers of RRR have left no stone unturned to promote the film and pique the interest of the fans, several reports doing the rounds suggest that the film has already sold about 2 lakh tickets in the Hindi speaking belt alone.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, in Hindi speaking belts of the countey, the average price per ticket for RRR at national multiplex chains (including tier two and tier three regions) is about Rs 300. It is important to note that the average cost of a ticker for RRR in tier one centres is around Rs 375. This is perhaps the highest ever ticket pricing for an Indian movie in the Hindi centres. The report further suggests that since the movie has already sold about 2 lakh tickets in advance booking, even before its release, the film is likely to collect about Rs 5 crore at the box office on day one from the Hindi speaking belts.

As per a report on BoxOfficeIndia, in Hindi, RRR is supposed to get similar opening day numbers as Kabir Khan's '83. Reportedly, the movie hasn't managed to gather a great advance booking in Delhi, despite massive film promotions in the Capital. Buzz is that the film's success in the Northern belt now depends on a solid word of mouth.

If trade analysts are to be believed, the nation wide opening day collections for RRR may fall in the range of Rs 15-18 crore and go up to Rs 20 crore. Trade pundits have already been counting on Rajamouli to bring the audiences back to the theatres and recreate his magic on screen. All the box office estimates aside, it'll be interesting to see the opening weekend collections of a mammoth pan-India film like RRR and how it sails through the weekdays.

Also starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in addition to the leading men Ram Charan and Jr NTR, RRR is a fictionalized account of two Indian revolutionaries who leave no stone unturned to fight against the British. SS Rajamouli's epic saga will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Reportedly, the movie will be available to stream on Netflix and ZEE5 after 90 days of its theatrical release.
