RRR in Japan: Jr NTR, Ram Charan and SS Rajamouli receive a grand welcome, spend time with Japanese media, fans

RRR is by all means the most celebrated film of director SS Rajamouli in his career. The adulation for the filmmaker or its actors is on all time high across the globe and has also helped it give an outside chance of being nominated for Oscars across multiple categories. After promoting the film in US recently, SS Rajamouli and RRR's lead actors Jr NTR, Ram Charan are now off to Japan as the film is set for a grand theatrical release in the country.

Upon their entry in Japan, the team of RRR received a grand welcome from the local media and fans. The filmmaker and the actors were seen signing autographs, taking selfies with enthusiastic crowds and are going all out to spread the word about RRR in Japan. Jr NTR also received a special card from a fan expressing his love for the former's acting. Given the buzz generated by the film in other international markets, one needn't be surprised if RRR manages to open on a grand note in Japan too. 

Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Ajay Devgn too played important roles in the historical fiction drama.The makers later in the day also announced that a special interview with the RRR team will be out on Youtube tomorrow ahead of the film's release in the Japanese market. While SS Rajamouli isn't only a filmmaker par excellence but also a marketing genius who knows how to take his product to audiences, regardless of India or other countries. 

Produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, RRR had music by MM Keeravaani with cinematography by K Senthil Kumar and art direction by Sabu Cyril. Rajeev Kanakala, Rahul Ramakrishna, Makarand Deshpande also essayed supporting roles. The film released in most markets on March 25 this year and had its digital premiere across multiple languages on Netflix and ZEE5 in May. SS Rajamouli's next is an actioner with Mahesh Babu, set to commence in 2023.
