Jr NTR and Ram Charan have been setting some major bromance goals with their on-screen appearance in RRR. The two actors are winning praises for their performances and chemistry in SS Rajamouli's film, which released today on March 25.
The film tells the fictionalised story of two revolutionaries who fought against the British. While Jr NTR plays the role of Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju in the movie. Though they are doing a film together for the first time, they have been long-time friends and much to the delight of the fans, they now plan to do more movies together. In an interaction with indianexpress.com, Jr NTR talked about the trend of multi-starrers and his friendship with Charan.
Talking about the impact of the film, the actor said he does not believe a particular character can define any actor forever, it is about the impact of the film. Calling RRR, a brand, he said he is proud to be called Rajamouli’s hero and he will be happy if he's called that forever.
He also spoke about his co-star Ram Charan. He said it is important to work with more actors like he did in RRR but unfortunately, he says, the culture of multi-starrers is gone due to the insecurity of actors. "But it is coming back. We are starting to see multi-starrers again. Yes, there will be healthy competition. As long as it stays healthy, it is good. Otherwise, it doesn’t help the actors or the film. Charan and I are going to make sure that we work together in more movies," he said.
He added that it is important to have a balance between both the actors in such films and it can happen only if the actors are confident about their director. "We know that we are in safe hands when we do a film like this with Rajamouli," he said adding that the film has opened other markets for him. "Somewhere we stopped being regional. It has become one big film industry now. With films like Baahubali and RRR, we have broken the barrier," he said.
