The makers of the upcoming multilingual movie Salaar, starring Prabhas, seem to be leaving no stone unturned in giving the movie a wide launch. The latest buzz is that the filmmakers have decided to dub the movie in English.

According to reports, Prashanth Neel's directorial will have an English version, which will be different from its Indian-language versions. It's said that the filmmakers have planned to edit out the songs and the comedy track to offer a crisp version of the action extravaganza. Reportedly, the English version will be 30 minutes shorter than its original Telugu version. However, an official word on the same is awaited.

Prashanth is now basking in the success of his previous film KGF: Chapter 2, which collected a whopping Rs 1200 crore from its worldwide ticket sales. And the success of KGF 2 has ramped up the expectations around Salaar. And Prashanth is also planning to capitalise on his new-found fame across the country.

It won't be wrong to say that the historic Oscar win of RRR could have influenced the filmmakers' decision to add a global appeal to Salaar. RRR's unprecedented popularity in the West, especially in the US, has unlocked new markets for filmmakers in India. And the time is ripe to make the film more accessible to non-Indian audiences across the world. And one way to do it is by releasing the movies in English.

Prabhas already enjoys considerable global fame thanks to the phenomenal success of his Baahubali series.

However, it's unclear whether the filmmakers will simultaneously release the English version of Salaar along with its other Indian versions.

Prabhas recently retruned to India after shooting for Salaar in Itlay. Salaar is due in cinemas globally on September 28. Hombale Films, which bankrolled the KGF series, is also producing this film on a huge budget. It also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran , Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu.
