The upcoming SS Rajamouli directorial, which stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan, will be released in theatres on January 7, 2022

For fans waiting for updates regarding RRR’s online release, look no further. It was announced by the distributors of the film that the SS Rajamouli directorial will be released on streaming platforms 90 days after its theatrical release. The film is slated to hit theatres on January 7, 2022, in multiple languages.
RRR’s streaming rights are currently held by Netflix and ZEE5.
The announcement was made by Jayanti Lal Gada, who is a distributor of the Hindi version of the film, while he was interacting with the media during the film’s trailer launch event in Mumbai. On being asked a question about the film’s digital release, Gada had answered that viewers would have to wait at least 90 days after RRR’s theatrical release before the film could be made available for streaming.
RRR is a fictionalised story revolving around Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who were Indian revolutionaries and tribal leaders.While the former had led the Rampa Rebellion of 1922 against the British Raj, the latter had been a key figure in the 1930s battles against the Nizam rulers of Hyderabad.
The film’s stellar cast includes Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Saran. The film is produced by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainments. The upcoming film’s soundtrack is composed by MM Keeravani.
