Rudhiram trailer: Raj B Shetty and Aparna Balamurali promise an intense survival-revenge thriller | Watch

The trailer of Malayalam film Rudhiram, which stars Kannada actor Raj B Shetty along with Aparna Balamurali, has been unveiled. Directed by Jisho Lon Antony, Rudhiram will release on December 13, 2024.

The trailer of Rudhiram begins with the words 'The axe forgets but the tree remembers'. Then Raj B Shetty, in a voiceover, talks about an axe that cuts down many trees in a lush green forest. 'Isn't this world too like that?,' he asks.

Aparna Balamurali's character appears to be admitted to what could be a hospital room with only a dog for company. She is desperately trying to find a way out. Towards the end of the fast-paced trailer, we see Aparna's character fighting it out in the woods.

The trailer talks about 'a demon you can't stop' and 'a darkness that you can't outrun', promising that a thrilling narrative is set to unfold on the big screens next week. The intense film is touted to be a survival-revenge thriller.

The trailer has already garnered the attention of netizens, with some fans calling it 'top-notch' and a 'must-watch for any thriller fan'.

Raj B Shetty's Malayalam movies

Rudhiram went on floors in February 2023 and was meant to mark the Kannada star’s official debut in Malayalam cinema. But two of his other Malayalam movies – Mammootty-starrer Turbo and Kondal hit the big screens earlier this year.  Raj B Shetty appeared as the villain Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram in the action-thriller with Mammootty that was released in theatres in May 2024, and Antony Varghese-starrer hit the big screens in September this year.

Aparna Balamurali, on the other hand, was last seen in the mystery thriller film Kishkindha Kaandam. She starred in a pivotal role in the film along with Asif Ali and Vijayaraghavan. The film, with its suspenseful narrative and captivating performances, garnered praise and was commercially successful too. Kishkindha Kaandam is available for streaming on Hotstar
