Rudra trailer: Ajay Devgn as DCP fights for the truth in the darkness in the Hotstar series

The much-awaited trailer for Rudra: The Edge of Darkness is finally out. With this series, which is the Hindi remake of the British series Luther, Ajay Devgn makes his OTT series debut along with Esha Deol and Raashii Khanna. The series is a dark and sophisticated race-against-the-clock drama that delves into the minds of highly educated criminals and the detective who hunts them. 

Ajay's titular character, an intuitive and instinctive police officer battling for the truth in the dark as he wades through a dismal and convoluted web of crimes, criminals, and corruption with a wrathful, steely grit, will star in the film. The racy and exhilarating crime drama has been shot in Mumbai's many diverse settings and reimagines the city through the eyes of criminals. In the intriguing new whodunnit crime drama, Rudra will be pitted against tremendous powers in order to uncover the truth.

Rudra: The Edge of Darkness is set in Mumbai and is a fast-paced thriller that dives into the minds of highly brilliant criminals and the detective who pursues them. Even as the major series plot continues, each episode introduces a new challenge, depicting DCP Rudra Veer Singh's tremendous emotional cost in pursuing crooks and killers, as well as the unexpected bond he builds with Aliyah, a clever sociopath. The metropolis of Mumbai serves as more than just a backdrop for our hero's vigilante acts; it also serves as the battleground for good vs. evil. Rudra believes that there is still love on earth, despite the gloom. Because, at the end of the day, humanity is all we have. Rudra is willing to give up all for this idea.

This gripping psychological crime drama, directed by ace director Rajesh Mapuskar, stars Ajay in the ferocious role of a cop for the first time in a digital series. The crime drama, produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, also stars Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Satyadeep Misra in pivotal roles. 

The Hotstar Specials' series will be available soon on Disney+ Hotstar in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali.
