Ruhani Sharma turns a cop for Her Chapter 1, Nani unveils teaser

Actress Ruhani Sharma, who was popular for her music videos in her early years, forayed into Telugu cinema with an impressive performance in Chi La Sow. While also making her Malayalam debut with Kamala later, she picked up unique projects like Dirty Hari, Nootokka Jillala Andagadu and the recently released web show Meet Cute. She’s now headlining a cop saga titled Her Chapter 1.

The teaser of Her Chapter 1 was launched by actor Nani. In the glimpse, Ruhani is cast in role of a sincere cop Archana Prasad, who’s returning to work after suspension. The lives of two people were at risk owing to her professional negligence and she now needs to handle several issues at work owing to red tapism, bureaucracy and internal politics in her team as well.

Archana even tells her superior that she doesn’t understand workplace politics and only knows policing. Meanwhile, there are a few montages of the crime scene, a potential criminal and several glimpses of Archana’s personal life. Will she battle her inner (and external) demons and bounce back at work? The film is expected to release in February.

Vikas Vashista, Pradeep Rudra, Jeevan, Ravi Varma, Sanjay Swaroop and others too essay important roles in Her Chapter 1. Interestingly, Ruhani Sharma played the wife of a cop in Hit: The First Case, alongside Vishwak Sen, a film directed by Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Nani. Raghu Sankuratri and Deepa Sankuratri are bankrolling Her, a film written and directed by Sreedhar Swaraghav.

Vishnu Besi cranks the camera for the film while Chanakya Reddy Toorupu is the editor and Pavan is the music director. Lavanya GK Devineni is the art director. With the popularity for action thrillers soaring among audiences in the last few months, one can expect Her Chapter 1 to make its mark as well. The slick, well-cut teaser is certain to create curiosity among audiences.
