Kiran Abbavaram headlines the film directed by Rathinam Krishna
Kiran Abbavaram, who scored a hit this year with Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, is in need of a success that'll help him progress as a commercially bankable actor in Telugu cinema. Rules Ranjann, presented by reputed producer AM Rathnam, could be that gamechanger for the upcoming actor. DJ Tillu girl Neha Sshetty plays the female lead in the entertainer directed by Rathinam Krishna, who earlier helmed Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu, Oxygen.
Going by the promos, the film is a light-hearted romance involving a nerdy protagonist and an outgoing girl in a college backdrop. Amrish scores the music for the film. The first single Naalo Nene Lenu, centring on the guy's quest to win his lady love, cast a spell on music buffs recently. Now, the makers have launched the sensual number, Sammohanuda, from the album, sung by Shreya Ghoshal and lyricised by Rathinam Krishna and Rambabu Gosala.
Sirish has choreographed the number shot across several sets in Hyderabad specially erected for the film. This is a rare song where a liberated female protagonist doesn't have any inhibitions while expressing her desire for the man of her dreams. If Shreya Ghoshal's appealing rendition sets the tone for the song, it is further elevated by Neha's superb dance moves and her on-screen chemistry with Kiran Abbavaram. The beautifully filmed number pleases you within the first hearing.
An expressive Neha carries herself with elegance while depicting the seductive quality that her part demands. The innovative lighting, catchy lyrics are the icings on the cake. Rules Ranjann has wrapped its shoot already and is gearing up for a release this August. Vennela Kishore, Hyper Aadhi, Viva Harsha, Nellore Sudarshan, Subbaraju, Ajay, Goparaju Ramana, Annu Kapoor, Siddharth Sen, Atul Parchure, Vijay Patkar, Makarand Deshpande, Abhimanyu Singh and Gulshan Pandey play key roles too.
Divyang Lavania, Murali Krishnaa Vemuri are bankrolling the film under Star Light Entertainment. Dulip Kumar M.S cranks the camera for the film while it's co-produced by Rinkhu Kukreja. Sudheer Macharla is the art director. Neha Sshetty was earlier seen in films like Mehbooba, Gully Rowdy in Telugu and is popular in Kannada too. Kiran Abbavaram's other hits include SR Kalyana Mandapam, Raja Gaaru Rani Vaaru (both streaming on aha).
