Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh, has received a tonne of media attention nationwide, all of it unfavourable. The film's use of poor language and subpar VFX has sparked a whirlwind of reaction and wrath.
Now, according to the recent rumours, Adipurush was allegedly originally intended to be a two-part series. The director, Om Raut, reportedly intended to divide the movie into two sections, according to a Telugu 360 report. He was also obliged to take this line of action by the overall runtime. He requested Prabhas to continue filming Adipurush for an additional month so that he could break the plot into two parts.
Prabhas disagreed, though, and persuaded the Adipurush team that a two-pronged approach would not work for the movie. The makers then made the choice to put off their choice. The movie had a budget of 500–600 crores; a sequel would have brought that figure up to more than 1000 crores. They would have suffered a huge financial loss because the first installment bombed at the box office. So, in a way, Prabhas saved the makers from a huge loss by going forward with a one film plan.
Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, starred Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan. Despite being produced on a massive scale, the movie's box office success was short-lived. Both fans and critics have harshly condemned the film's VFX and dialogue. In response to the controversy surrounding the mythology and its portrayal, many are also calling for a ban on the movie.
