Actor Ajay Devgn is awaiting the release of his directorial, Runway 34. The aviation thriller, which is based on true events, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Aakanksha Singh, Boman Irani, and Carry Minati. As the film is nearing its release, Devgn is busy promoting the drama.

In a new interview, actor Ajay Devgn mirrored his wild youth, during which he was twice imprisoned. The actor also discussed how he had gotten away after taking his father's rifle. In a conversation with Film Companion, he said things were also relatively lenient at the time and that law and media were exceptionally forgiving but it's no longer the case. "We have gotten away with all kinds of stuff, you all cannot," he added, looking at the audience. "You can't believe how much fun we've had,” he said.

Ajay was questioned if he was a 'gunda' in his youth in a 2018 conversation with Mid-Day. He then said, “I've been behind bars twice, twice inside a jail, and once I even stole my father's rifle. And, folks, that's against the law."

The actor also recounted how, as a child, he was mocked for his appearance as well as being the son of an action director. He claimed that 'violent rejections' never disturbed him.

Meanwhile, Runway 34 is based on true events and stars Ajay as an airline pilot who is forced to perform a miraculous feat after his plane is stuck in a storm. After 2016's Shivaay, Ajay returns to directing with this thriller, which releases on April 29.
