Ajay Devgn's third directorial film Runway 34 has been heaping praises within a day of its release. The film, which released in theatres on April 29, stars Devgn along with Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Aakanksha Singh, Boman Irani, and Youtube personality, Carry Minati in pivotal roles.
The film has been garnering positive reviews from its fans and critics alike, especially for the performances of the cast and the direction of Ajay Devgn. A part of the OTTplay review reads: "The actor as a filmmaker is amazing with his camera work, and he showed the same with Runway 34 too. When it comes to technical aspects, the film excels stupendously as it leaves one on the edge of their seat."
nd now, the director Devgn has received a special gift. He has received a handwritten letter from his co-star and legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, appreciating and encouraging his work. He said it was an honour to work on the film with him. Addressing the letter to Ajay with an exclamation mark thrice, it further reads: "Your work is superior, the way you have put everything together is simply marvellous. They say it's your best but I know that there shall be many more 'bests'. Congratulations!"
The actor was overjoyed in receiving the letter and shared it on social media. He captioned the post: "When the illustrious and magnanimous Amitabh Bachchan stars in your directorial venture, it is an honour that is hard to encapsulate in words. And when he uses his heartfelt words in a hand-written note of appreciation it stirs emotions that are a heady mix of gratitude, quiet pride and satisfaction. Thank you Amit ji!"
Devgn's wife and actor too commented on the post, saying 'Well deserved words on both sides. 馃憦馃憦'.

Meanwhile, the aviation thriller Runway 34 has been winning the hearts of the audience all over. However, it had a poor start at the box office. The film reportedly earned around Rs 3.50 crore on the first day. According to Box Office India, the possible reason for it could be losing out on the number of screens in the mass belts due to Yash's KGF 2 and Tiger Shroff's Heropanti 2.
The film is also co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Kumar Mangat Pathak's Panorama Studios. The drama, inspired by the true story, is expected to be out on Amazon Prime Video four weeks after its theatrical release.
