Rupali Ganguly reunites with Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-star Ratna Pathak Shah

Ratna Pathak Shah is currently gearing up for the release of her film Dhak Dhak, which also stars Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Sanghi. She is popular for the early 2000 hit show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, which is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. And the veteran actress recently had a heartwarming reunion with her former co-star from the show, Rupali Ganguly.

Moments of nostalgia

Rupali took to Instagram to post several pictures with Ratna, with the caption, “This precious connect. 2nd pic she switched on the Mummyjee mode. I love you forever #ratnapathakshah.” In the pictures, Ratna is dressed in a simple black top with statement accessories while Rupali opted for a white chikankari kurta.

Netizens were excited to see the duo together and flooded the comment section with nostalgic moments from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. One user wrote, “I have started watching Sarabhai again...it feels like yesterday...nothing between u both have changed. Monisha beta Tv Actors  ke saath photo khichwana is just the epitome of Middle class. Haha I still remember it.” While another wrote, “Monisha and her Mummyjii is the sweetest and a coolest vibe too.”

About Sarabhai vs Sarabhai

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was a popular television show that premiered in 2004 and starred Rupali Ganguly, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Satish Shah and Rajesh Kumar.

Ratna played Maya, a rich woman who comically mocks her “middle-class” daughter-in-law, Monisha, played by Rupali. The fun banter between the two made everyone laugh their hearts out.  Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Season 2 premiered at Disney+ Hotstar in 2017 but was not a success like its first season.

Ratna will be seen next on the silver screen in director Tarun Dudeja’s film Dhak Dhak, while Rupali is the protagonist of the popular television show Anupamaa.
