Get ready to relive the thrill of Russian Doll yet again, and again, and again. The show’s star Charlie Barnett has recently revealed some exciting updates regarding the upcoming season.
In a recent interview with TV Insider, Barnett, who also stars in the drama series Ordinary Joe, revealed that Russian Doll’s second season had already wrapped up filming. The series had completed its shoot before Barnett had to leave for his commitments on Ordinary Joe.
The actor also talked about how fascinating he found the show’s premise, although he admitted at times even he could not wrap his head around them always. Nonetheless, Barnett was appreciative and grateful for having the opportunity to be a part of the show.
Barnett also teased on how the second season is ‘very different’ from the show’s first, hinting that the differences lay in the ‘principles’ that were established last season.
Russian Doll tells the story of a New York City woman who finds herself stuck in a time loop on her 36th birthday, the clock is set back to that fateful day every time she dies. In her search for answers, she finds another man who is going through the same ordeal and together they try to figure out a solution to their problem.
In addition to Barnett, the series also stars Natasha Lyonne. Lyonne created the series along with Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler. The upcoming season will also feature Sharlto Copley and Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy.
