Since its premiere, the American comedy-drama television series has garnered several accolades, including nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy series in the Primetime Emmy Awards. Created by the Primetime Emmy nominee Natasha Lyonne, with Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler, the series stars Lyonne and Charlie Barnett in the lead. Lyonne is well-renowned for her vibrant filmography, particularly her role as Nicky Nichols in the Emmy Award-winning American comedy-drama Orange Is the New Black. With Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez and Elizabeth Ashley in supporting roles, the series will see new additions to the ensemble with Carolyn Michelle Smith, Sharlto Copley and Primetime Emmy Award winner Annie Murphy.
Set in New York City, the plot revolves around Nadia (Natasha Lyonne), a game developer who dies on the night of her 36th birthday party, thrown by her friend Maxine (Greta Lee), and relives the same night over and over again. Stuck in a time loop, she tries to solve this enigma, leading her to Alan (Charlie Barnett), who is stuck in the same situation. Season two will see Barnett and Lyonne reprising their roles as Alan Zaveri, and the self-proclaimed ‘time prisoner’ Nadia Vulvokov, along with Annie Murphy in an undisclosed role. The new season consists of eight episodes in which Nadia and Alan explore different timelines and puzzling situations.
