Netflix has released a few first look photos from the second season of the successful series, Russian Doll with Natasha Lyonne in the lead. The photos also reveal Schitt's Creek's Annie Murphy joining the leading lady in the cast.

The photo shows Murphy standing alongside Lyonne as they are seen talking to someone, while another photo showed fan favourite character Maxine, played by Greta Lee. Murphy, who was last seen in Kevin Can F**k Himself, is most known for her role as Alexis Rose in the Netflix show Schitt's Creek.

Apart from Murphy, Sharlto Copley who starred in the South African film District 9 and has also appeared in projects such as Spike Lee’s Oldboy, Maleficent, Free Fire and Hardcore Henry, will also be seen in the second season of Russian Doll.

The second season of the show will take place four years from the first season, and will follow Nadia and Charlie Barnett’s Alan facing their past.

Created by Lyonne, Amy Poehler, and Leslye Headland, the series is produced by Kate Arend, John Skidmore, and Ryan McCormick. A release date for the season season of the show has not yet been announced by the streaming platform.
