Ryan Gosling cast as Ken in Margot Robbie-led Barbie movie; Twitter users react

Deadline recently reported that Ryan Gosling will play the role of Ken in the upcoming Barbie movie. The movie, which will center around the iconic doll line by Mattel, will see Margot Robbie in the titular character.

According to the report, Gosling is close to signing a deal with the makers. The movie, which is now close to a greenlight, will be directed by Greta Gerwig.

With the director who previously helmed movies like Lady Bird and Little Women, the new Barbie movie could be very different than what can be usually expected.

Once the reports of the Drive actor as Ken were out, fans took to Twitter to share their opinion on the casting choice. The decision has received mixed reactions from the fans who have said they would prefer to see Zac Efron or Henry Cavill as Barbie’s boyfriend. Some fans even suggested that Justin Hartley, Matt Bomer or James Marsden would be better fits.

However, a number of fans also agreed with the casting of Ryan Gosling and even found him to be the perfect choice to play the character.

While there has still been no official confirmation of the news, fans are still debating over Ryan Gosling playing the role of Ken on Twitter.
