Actor Ryan Reynolds has decided to take a sabbatical from Hollywood. The actor broke the news after he wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming Apple TV film Spirited. The actor took to Instagram to announce the final pack up of the cast and crew of the film Spirited and he wrote: “Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago. Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true.” He further added that he would miss working with an "obscenely gifted group of creators and artists.” But little did we know that he meant he would take a break from Hollywood altogether.

The actor was spotted at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards on Monday in New York City. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said he decided to take a break to spend more time with his family. “I’m just trying to create a little bit more space for my family and time with them,” he told the portal. Ryan is married to TV and film actor Blake Lively and has three daughters with her.

When he was asked how long will he be away from moviemaking, he said probably, till the end of the summer. "It just provides me an opportunity to be home,” he added.

Earlier this year, the actor had spoken up about his lifelong struggle with anxiety. He had said that his daughters helped him open up and deal with anxiety. The family man, that we know he is, always expresses gratitude towards his wife and three daughters. He had posted on Instagram that he knows he is not alone. "To all those like me who overschedule, overthink, overwork, over-worry, and over-everything, please know you are not alone," he had written in his post adding how people do not talk enough about mental health nor do enough to destigmatise it.
