Sa Re Ga Ma Pa-fame Abanti Sithi to tie the knot

Parambrata Chatterjee and Pia Chakraborty were married on Monday. Saurav Das and Darshana Banik will be married on December 15. Now, it came to be known that the popular Bangladeshi singer Abanti Sithi, famous for her appearance in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, is getting married on the same day. She is also known as Sishpriya. During the reality show, she came to prominence for her singing by whistling. 

The wedding will take place in the Part Centre of Mirpur, Dhaka. The groom hails from Sylhet but has been living in London for more than a decade. His name is Amit Dey. Abanti told the media, “We haven't known each other for a long time. It is seven or eight months. He sings very well. We met while singing together at an event. Now we have decided to get married.” 

Abanti said Amit works in a finance firm in London and he has studied accountancy. “He plays the keyboard and piano very well. He originally hails from Sylhet. The marriage preparations are done by the two families. Our blessing ceremony took place in August. Amit is coming in December with a month's leave,” she said.  

Abanti first became popular for her songs on social media. She attracted attention by singing Kumar Biswajit’s song, Jekhane Simanto Tomar. Recently, her song, Gna Chuye Bol, in the film Surongo was praised in Bangladesh.
