Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Legends: Anirban Bhattacharya and Abhijeet Bhattacharya to present a duet

Anirban Bhattacharya is not only a trained theatre actor. He is also known to be a fabulous singer. His rendition of Kicchu Chaini Ami in Srijit Mukherji’s film Shah Jahan Regency became an instant hit. He also sang in films like Mithye Premer Gan, Dracula Sir, and others.

Now, Anirban is coming in a new avatar. He is debuting as an anchor with the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Legends. Dadagiri Season 10 ended last week and the new show will be telecast in its 9.30 pm slot. There are several surprises in the first episode where singers will pay tribute to two legendary Bengali icons in the music world – Kishore Kumar and RD Burman.

This episode will feature celebrities like Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Babul Supriya, and Javed Ali. Abhijeet is frequently on the news for his loose comments. A few days back, he had a spat with Neha Kakkar on the stage of a reality show. Abhijeet talked about 'Aukat' while talking about singing at wedding receptions. Neha calmly retaliated.

But on the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Legends, Abhijeet was in a different form. He sang the song, Noyono Sorosi Keno with Anirban. Anirban got emotional while singing with Abhijeet. He said, “This is my good luck, Dada! I never thought that I would get such a chance.” People are eagerly waiting to see the duet.

Javed Ali will sing the song, “Yeh Shaam Mastani.” This is not Anirban's first time on television. He previously worked in the reality show Apur Sangsar and acted in the serial Bhumikanya. But this is his first time as an anchor.

The show will pay tribute to the legendary artistes of India. Director Abhijit Sen is conducting the show, though he is not directing. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Legends will stream on Zee5 and you can watch it on OTTplay Premium.

Meanwhile, Anirban’s film Atthoi will also be released soon. Directed and acted by Arna Mukhopadhyay, the film is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello. Anirban is the creative director of the film. Sohini Sarkar plays Desdemona, while Arna plays Othello and Anirban, Iago.
