Sabari: Varalakshmi Sarathkumar gets a fat paycheck | Exclusive

Varalakshmi Sarathkumar is one of the most talented heroines in the south. She has been doing films for a long time but did not succeed as a solo heroine in Tamil cinema. The moment she started doing character roles in Telugu cinema, her career took a new turn. Varu as she is fondly called did a negative role in Ravi Teja's Krack and the film went on to become a huge hit at the box office.

The success of Krack gave multiple offers for Varu in Telugu and she is the busiest actress around in Telugu cinema as of now. She will next be seen in a female-oriented film called Sabari where Varu will be playing a mother of a young girl. Things have changed as it is a very positive and emotional role where she will surprise everyone with her sensible performance as per the unit sources. The film is done with the shoot and is in its post-production mode.

We have come to know exclusively that Varalakshmi charged three lakhs per day and earned 60 lakhs as her whole remuneration for the film. This is the highest ever for her as a solo actress. Things have gone to another level post this film as the makers of Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy paid close to a crore to her for playing a key negative role in the film. She will be seen as Balakrishna's sister in the film.

Varalakshmi is getting solid offers in Telugu and has also shifted base to Hyderabad now. She is also playing a key role in Hanuman and won great applause for her sadistic role in Samantha's Yashoda recently.
