Sabka Sai trailer: Ajit Bhairavkar’s show tries to show Sai Baba as more humane than 'Godly' figure

MX Player recently dropped the trailer of Sabka Sai based on the life of India’s great Sufi saint Sai Baba. The upcoming series showcases his liberal beliefs on widow remarriage as well as inter-religious marriages. The MX Original Series is helmed by Ajit Bhairavkar.

The latest trailer showcases multiple issues Indian society was facing during the British raj in the country. The video also shows how Sai Baba helps, guides and tries to heal everyone who comes to him while some miscreants and non-believers are also seen rooting against him and his values. In the end, Sai Baba can be seen preaching to everyone about the real values of religions.

Raj Arjun, who is playing the titular role in the upcoming biographical drama, talked about his character and said in a recent statement that he considers himself fortunate to play such a revered character. The actor also mentioned that this is one of the most unique roles that he has played till date. "His teachings are relevant even in today’s age and Sabka Sai will unfold many layers of Sai Baba’s life and to be a part of this journey is a once in a lifetime experience,” he further added.

Meanwhile, director Ajit also spoke about the show and revealed in a statement, “In this series, we have tried to portray Sai Baba as more human as compared to the God he is now worshipped as, along with the real-life challenges he faced.”

The OTT streamer shared the trailer on its Instagram handle and captioned, “Jiska koi nahi hota, uska Sai hota hai #SabkaSai, releasing on 26 August (sic).

The show also has Mohammad Samad, Aakash Sinha, Gulki Joshi, Rohit Phalke, Manoj Kolhatkar, Asheesh Kapur, Devika Daftardar and Rajendra Shisatkar in its cast. Sabka Sai will release on August 26 on the digital platform to stream online for free.
