Anurag Kashyap, the co-creator of Sacred Games, has called out a bogus casting profile on social media that claimed to be casting for Season 3. The filmmaker took to his Instagram page on Sunday and shared a screenshot of the scamster's Instagram Story and asked his followers to report him.
He penned, "This man, Rajbeer_casting, is a scamster. Please report him. There is no season 3 of Scared Games happening. I am filing an FIR against this person."
According to the screenshot, the fake casting call called for "female" performers of various ages who "must be OK with bold scenes."
In Sacred Games, Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) is a troubled Mumbai cop who receives a phone call from criminal Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) telling him he has 25 days to save the city; the series follows the events that unfold. Aamir Bashir, Jatin Sarna, Elnaaz Norouzi, Pankaj Tripathi, Amey Wagh, Kubbra Sait, Surveen Chawla, Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey, and Amruta Subhash are among the other cast members.
Season 2 of Sacred Games starts up where Season 1 left off, answering all of the remaining questions. While diving into criminal boss Ganesh Gaitonde's evil past, Sartaj Singh continues his search for the truth and saves Mumbai from total catastrophe. Sartaj has no idea that he and Gaitonde have close ties and, in the end, the same purpose. He is racing against the clock as he tries to put his life back together after his marriage ended, as well as uncovering unsettling secrets about his history and father. He now has less than 14 days to figure out the truth and save Mumbai.
The second season of Sacred Games premiered in August 2019, following the premiere of the first season in July 2018. However, the makers decided to not go further with the third season following the criticism the second season received.
