Preity Zinta may have left India to follow the love of her life, she is often seen on social media connected to her Indian roots with the festivities and celebrations. Preity Zinta shared on her social media handle a special video clip as her film Kal Ho Na Ho, clocked twenty years on November 28. She also penned an emotional post for Dharma Productions founder, Yash Johar.

Bollywood’s dimple girl, Preity Zinta may have distanced herself from the glamor industry of Bollywood, but she still bonds over her iconic roles and movies. Recently, the actress took to her Instagram account to share some glimpses of the nostalgia trip as her film, Kal Ho Na Ho, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan turned twenty years old. In the throwback video, Naina Kapur (played by Preity Zinta) is going through an emotional dilemma as she sits for the Haldi ceremony before the wedding when Aman Mathur (played by Shah Rukh Khan) joins her with tears and a smile.

In another video shared a few hours ago, the teaser video gives a brief introduction of her character who doesn’t smile much and his friends and family members are trying to remember when was the last time they saw her cheerful and smiling.

Preity Zinta remembers Yash Johar

Yash Johar, who was the founder of Dharma Productions and also the father of Karan Johar, passed away a year later after Kal Ho Na Ho. The iconic emotional, melodrama marked this as his last film. Hence, Zinta reminisced about the sweet moments she spent with the producer. “Kal Ho Naa Ho was the saddest happy film I did. Nothing can replace those memories & I will forever be grateful to Yash Uncle for making this incredible film. It was the last time he was on set. There will never be anyone like you Yash Uncle,” she penned the emotional note along with the video.

She also revealed that this movie will always hold a special place in her heart.

Earlier today, Karan Johar also gave a tribute to his father in an emotional social media post , revealing Kal Ho Na Ho as his last movie.

Preity Zinta took a disappointing decision after she went on a sabbatical from the entertainment industry, citing focus on her business ventures. She also moved out from India after she married Gene Goodenough and now lives in Los Angeles along with twins shared with her husband.
