A few days ago, we reported that the makers of Saharasri were considering actor Anil Kapoor to play the titular role in the biopic of the late Subrata Roy, the founder of the Sahara empire. Even though there was no official announcement about Anil signing on the dotted lines, the buzz was that it was just a matter of time before the actor said yes to the film. It now seems like the film’s makers are considering another actor to play the titular role: Boman Irani.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, it is now being said that the makers of ‘Saharasri’ are now considering '3 Idiots' actor Boman Irani to play the titular role. There is still no official announcement about this and we don't know if Boman has agreed, sinc this happens to be source-based news.

Entrepreneur Subrata Roy, who was the founder of Sahara Group (which he lovingly addressed as ‘Sahara parivaar’), passed away on November 14. The 75-year-old architect of the Sahara Group was admitted to a Mumbai hospital, where he took his last breath before passing away due to a cardiorespiratory arrest.

A few days ago, there was a report in Bollywood Hungama that stated that Anil was being considered to play the late Subrata Roy ‘Saharasri’. The film’s makers (producers Sandeep Singh and Dr. Jayantilal Gada) made an announcement about the film on June 10, which was Subrata Roy’s birthday. The film’s director had been announced as Sudipto Sen.

As for Anil Kapoor and Boman Irani, both of these actors have their plates full. Anil is busy with the promotion of his film 'Animal’, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in important roles. The film’s trailer, which was released yesterday (November 23), has been getting positive responses from everyone. Besides ‘Animal’, Anil will also be seen in the eagerly-awaited Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer ‘Fighter’.

Boman will soon be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Dunki’, which also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
