Sahasam: First poster of the Narain-starrer hints at a fun-filled comedy drama

The makers of Malayalam upcoming film, Sahasam, have dropped its first poster on May 8. The film, which is directed by Bibin Krishna, is slated to release in theatres in August this year. The first look of the movie was released in an event held in Kochi with all its main cast members.

The poster, which gives a glimpse of its entire cast, hints at a fun-filled comedy drama. It also suggests that the film would have humourous moments born out of chaos. Interesting action sequences with an adventurous backdrop is also indicated in the poster.

Narain and Babu Antony appears to be playing the lead roles in this entertainer. Baiju Santhosh, Yog Japee, Shabareesh Varma, Tessa Joseph, Ramzan, Varsha Ramesh, Rachana Narayanankutty, Gouri G Kishan, Sajin Cherukayil, Jeeva Joseph, and Ann Salim are also playing pivotal characters in Sahasam. Further details of the film and a teaser is expected in the coming days. An exact release date is also anticipated.

It has been a while since Narain has played a lead role in Malayalam. The actor, who is busy acting in Tamil as well, was last seen in Manorathangal and Devara: Part 1. Narain is loved for his nuanced performances in films such as Grandmaster, Robin Hood and Achuvinte Amma. Meanwhile, Babu Antony was recently seen in Basil Joseph's Maranamass and Vineeth Sreenivasan's Oru Jaathi Jathakam. Shabareesh Varma appeared in a prominent role in Mammootty-starrer Turbo, which is streaming on Sony LIV, last year.

Rinish K N has bankrolled Sahasam under the banner of The Front Row Productions. His prior productions are Aju Varghese's Phoenix and Anoop Menon's Twenty One Gms. The director has penned the screenplay for the movie. Yadukrishna Udayakumar and Bibin Krishna has written the dialogues for Sahasam. Bibin Ashok has composed soundtracks and background score for the film. The executive producers are Ranjith Bhaskaran and Shinoj Odandiyil.
