Sai Pallavi joins the shoot of Allu Arjun, Rashmika starrer Pushpa 2? Here’s what we know

While promoting her films Gargi and Virata Parvam the previous year, actress Sai Pallavi, when asked if she has signed any new projects had interestingly said, “I am getting several offers, yes, but I’m in no hurry and I’ve not set myself any targets about the number of films I need to take up. I’ll sign a film only when the script resonates with me.” It looks like the actress has finally found that project.

Since many months, several reports on media portals have hinted at Sai Pallavi’s presence in Pushpa 2 for a key role. Looks like, these weren’t rumours after all. It is believed that the Fidaa, Premam actress has allocated 10 days to shoot a crucial extended cameo for the Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil starrer. She is believed to be playing the role of a tribal girl in the much-awaited film.

She reportedly joined the sets of Pushpa 2 yesterday. Given the mounting curiosity around the sequel, the presence of the actress adds further credibility to the lineup that also comprises Ajay Ghosh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh and Sunil. One can’t wait to know what compelled Sai Pallavi to take up Pushpa 2 - the role, the names involved with the project or the film?

Jagadeesh Prathap Bhandari, Raj Tirandasu, Ajay, Shri Tej and others too play important roles in the film. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for the action thriller franchise which has cinematography by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek and will be edited by Karthika Srinivas and Ruben. The shoot of Pushpa 2 is expected to be wrapped up by August/September this year and the makers may aim for an early 2024 release.

The first glimpse of Pushpa 2 is set to be unveiled in April on the eve of Allu Arjun's birthday. Besides Pushpa 2, Sai Pallavi also is teaming up with Siva Karthikeyan for a film jointly produced by Kamal Haasan and Sony.
