Actress Sai Pallavi, who debuted in Telugu cinema with Sekhar Kammula's Fidaa, is reuniting with her mentor again for Love Story, an intense romance alongside Naga Chaitanya. The film, set in a rural Telangana backdrop, is scheduled to release in theatres across Telugu states and select screens globally on September 24. Ahead of the theatrical release, in a media interaction, the actress shared her experiences of being part of team Love Story and why the film's core message struck a chord with her.

"I didn't even blink to say yes to Sekhar Kammula when he offered me Love Story. After the narration, I was all the more convinced and I knew I had to be a part of it at any cost. My role, Mounica, is no way similar to Bhanumathi in Fidaa. In Fidaa, I was a girl who didn't believe in leaving my father when I get married. Here, Mounica is someone who follows her dreams, with a belief that she is no less than anyone else in this world," Sai Pallavi said. Despite touching upon many social issues, Love Story will be thoroughly engaging, the actress assured.

"Through the film, we try to tell that no one in the world is perfect and that it takes great conviction and willpower to accomplish our goals. I and Naga Chaitanya play two characters who chase our ambitions, come what may. Love Story also holds a mirror to several incidents we don't blink an eye to, in our daily lives. We don't even feed our maids on the same plates as ours. The film talks of discrimination based on gender, caste and class. Sekhar Kammula makes films that are a reflection of his thoughts and that's why they tug at our heartstrings," she added.

Expressing happiness about sharing screen space with Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi said he was a co-star who's very comfortable to work with. She's also a part of Venu Udugula's Viraata Parvam and Nani's multi-generational romance Shyam Singha Roy. Sai Pallavi is also doing a film each in Malayalam and Tamil and is in talks to sign another Telugu project and a web show.
