Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan will step into the shoes of R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi for the Hindi remake.
R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil film Vikram Vedha gets a Hindi remake. In the forthcoming Bollywood flick, Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan will be stepping into the shoes of Madhavan and Vijay. The film will also mark the Hindi directorial debut of duo Pushkar–Gayathri, the director of the original film. As per the latest tweet of trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the release date of the Vikram Vedha remake has been decided.
Taran tweeted, "HRITHIK - SAIF IN 'VIKRAM VEDHA' REMAKE... #HrithikRoshan and #SaifAliKhan will star in the #Hindi remake of #Tamil film #VikramVedha... Pushkar-Gayathri - the director duo of the original film - will direct the #Hindi version too... 30 Sept 2022 release."
The Saif and Hrithik starring neo-noir thriller film will hit the big screens on September 30, 2022. This is the second outing of the actors on the big screen after nearly 20 years. They first worked together in Na Tum Jaano Na Hum released in 2002.
The Tamil film also starred Shraddha Srinath, Kathir and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles, while the rest of the cast for the Bollywood remake is yet to be announced.
Vikram Vedha is currently streaming on ZEE5.
Interestingly, Siddharth Anand directorial Fighter which also stars Hrithik along with Deepika Padukone has been announced to release on September 30, 2022. The film is touted to be India’s first aerial action franchise.
Meanwhile, Saif is gearing up for his upcoming film Bhoot Police which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in September this year.
