Saif Ali Khan has shown incredible adaptability to changing circumstances. He's done everything—history, thrillers, comedies, and romances—you name it, and he's done it. Most people are unaware that he has been doing it for 30 years and remains relevant. Vikram Vedha and Adipurush are two of the actor's current ventures.
Talking about the same, Saif told Hindustan Times that, in a word, that would be a contemporary manner of approach, he supposes. The actor is not very nostalgic for the past or set in his ways when it comes to many things. Perhaps it's the people in his life, including family and friends.
On being asked about his nice looks now that he is 51, Saif said that he has his mother, the renowned actor Sharmila Tagore's, young genes, so it's a mix of that plus a good view on life. The actor further said that it all starts with one's thoughts, and then they are lucky if people regard them as important.
Saif, on the other hand, argues that nothing in his career was pre-planned. In the 1993 film Aashik Awara, he made his acting debut. Whether in Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Omkara (2006), Cocktail (2012), or Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020), the actor has always managed to appeal to people of all generations.
He explained that he hadn't given it much thought. Perhaps that will also help, so instead of worrying about it, he will just do it. Saif approaches his work with a sense of awe and surprise. The actor is ecstatic to be working here and is having a great time. And he's more excited than he's ever been about tomorrow. That, he believes, is advantageous. It is necessary to be enthusiastic about one's other activities.
The actor also forayed into the OTT space with Sacred Games on Netflix and Tandav on Amazon Prime Video.
