Saif Ali Khan confirms working with Priyadarshan
Saif confirmed the film to Bollywood Hungama, stating that yes, he is doing a film with Priyadarshan next. The actor portrays a man who is visually impaired and he is very excited. Meanwhile, Priyadarshan conveyed his excitement for the project by stating that he has always liked Saif's screen presence. The filmmaker had been hoping to find a good way to make a film with him.
Hindi adaptation of Oppam
Oppam (Priyadarshan's 2016 Malayalam thriller) featured Mohanlal as a visually impaired man caught up in a murder inquiry, and the Hindi adaptation is what we have been talking about. With his own distinct style, Saif will take over the role that Mohanlal played in the original film. The plot takes a thrilling turn as it follows a blind man's rise to the position of chief suspect in a murder investigation.
Speculation has it that Bobby Deol is being courted to play the film's antagonist. According to an insider, the actor was quite pleased with the writing, praising the script's intricate and multi-layered character development which sets up Saif's role.
Shooting plans
Priyadarshan hoped to complete filming by September 2024, guaranteeing a faster production process, and the production was scheduled to begin in July 2024 with a 40-day shooting schedule. Having said that, filming might begin soon in 2025.
