Saif Ali Khan told Kareena Kapoor Khan 'to be on her toes' in working with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in The Devotion of Suspect X

When she's in front of the camera, Kareena Kapoor Khan is the happiest, more so when she is on Sujoy Ghosh's set as the director. The actor, who wrapped filming on the adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X in June, expressed her gratitude to the director and her co-stars, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.

Kareena told Mid Day that she misses working on sets with Sujoy. Every day, she had the opportunity to experience the thrill of working with Jaideep and Vijay on the set. It gave her a new depth.

She knew that the Netflix movie would have a compelling plot from the get-go. A single mother who accidently kills her ex-husband is the central character of the film, which is a screen version of the book of the same name by Keigo Higashino. Her mathematical neighbour then assists her in committing the crime while evading the investigating police officer in a game of wits. She claims that the material has been further improved by the suitable cast.

Kareena further shared that when Sujoy informed her, he was casting Vijay and Jaideep, she was thrilled. The actor immediately responded with "I'm in." While her husband and actor, Saif Ali Khan, warned her to be alert, as these two actors are at the peak of their game and are truly faultless.

Earlier, before she started shooting for the film, Kareena had shared her excitement, stating that she was eager to get started on this fascinating endeavour. The actor is particularly excited to work with Sujoy, Jaideep, and Vijay on this project because it has all the necessary ingredients: a compelling plot, an imaginative director, and an incredibly skilled cast and crew. It's the start of an exciting journey, and she can't wait for audiences all across the world to witness this international best-seller come to life.
