Saindhav: Ruhani Sharma is the latest addition to the Venkatesh, Shraddha Srinath starrer

Venkatesh, who made his web debut with Rana Naidu and whose Hindi film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan releases in theatres today, is also busy wrapping up his portions for his 75th film Saindhav. Directed by Hit 2 maker Sailesh Kolanu, the film is bankrolled by Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainment, the banner behind films like Shyam Singha Roy and Like, Share & Subscribe.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is making his Telugu debut with the action thriller. While the second schedule of Saindhav commenced recently in Vizag, the makers also announced the female lead - Shraddha Srinath - a few days ago. Offering another surprise for audiences, the team confirmed that the Meet Cute actress Ruhani Sharma will also be essaying a crucial role in the film.

Unveiling the first look of Ruhani Sharma, the director added, “Super excited to be collaborating with my first heroine again :) Introducing @iRuhaniSharma as Dr. Renu from #SAINDHAV #SaindhavOnDec22.” Ruhani, who forayed into Telugu cinema with Chi La Law, also played a key role in Hit, also directed by Sailesh Kolanu (hence the reference as a first heroine).

Nani is slated to appear in a special role in the film as well. Santhosh Narayanan, who’s also working on Prabhas-Deepika Padukone starrer Project K, basking high on the success of Dasara, is the composer. S Manikandan is the cinematographer of the film while Garry Bh is the editor. Avinash Kolla is the production designer and S Venkatarathnam is the executive producer.

The film will lock horns with Nani, Mrunal Thakur’s family drama #Nani30 at the box office for the Christmas weekend. While Saindhav will be out on December 22, the latter will hit screens a day earlier. After the film, Sailesh is expected to commence work on Hit 3, to be headlined by Nani.
