Saiyaara advance booking: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda's film beats Aashiqui 2 record already? Sells nearly 1 lakh tickets ahead of release day

Mohit Suri's upcoming film Saiyaara is already making history at the Box Office. The movie has already sold out nearly 1 lakh tickets ahead of its Friday release. This is screaming new history in the making, since even Aditya Roy Kapur-Shraddha Kapoor's Aashiqui 2 opened to single digits on day 1. However, from the looks of it, Saiyaara could open in double digits.

Saiyaara's advance booking opened on Wednesday, July 16, and a record-breaking 90,000 tickets were sold out by 11 pm, according to Pinkvilla. While this is a record for the newcomers, it is also likely to break a lot of records, even for Mohit Suri's own film, Aashiqui 2, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. According to Sacnilk, the movie, which marks Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Bollywood debut, has already earned Rs. 4.41 crore so far. Predictions have it that the movie will sell over 1 lakh and 50 thousand tickets before the release date, owing to which the movie would open to double digits. This itself is a rare feat considering the current Box Office collection trend.

Saiyaara to beat Aashiqui 2 Box Office opening, too?

From the looks of it, Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda's Saiyaara will beat Aditya Roy Kapur-Shraddha Kapoor's Aashiqui 2 at the Box Office collection, at least on the opening day. The musical, which became Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor's launchpad into Bollywood (they had already worked in other movies that had flopped at the Box Office), earned Rs. 6.1 crore at the Box Office. Back when Aashiqui 2 released, it became a rage, and Saiyaara seems set to follow the same path.

Is Saiyaara actually Aashiqui 3?

Saiyaara's journey had started off as Aashiqui 3, but the movie had to choose a different path and title. Thus, it is not officially Aashiqui 3, but is hugely inspired by the franchise. Whether we would get Aashiqui 3 still remains unknown. Nonetheless, the craze for Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's debut Bollywood film Saiyaara is quite clear, and it might just grow further after the film's release.
